My background in the business environment has allowed me to blend my passion for teaching, my interests of technology, and my past work experience into a desirable, fulfilling career.  I began my teaching career as an adjunct faculty member.  I am now a full-time faculty member with experience as Chair for the Department of Business Technologies.

I love teaching.  I enjoy working with students and facilitating the coursework in a learning environment.  I take the time to not only teach, but mentor and advise students of Central Ohio Technical College. Although it might be an old cliché, I truly believe in the role of today’s students in tomorrow’s world.  I try to build upon the knowledge of our students.  I try to touch each student’s life in a positive manner by acknowledging their hard work and having faith in their future.

One of my current tasks is directing the development of an online Business Management Technology program.  This past year the college has received full approval from the Higher Learning Committee, and I hope the department will be able to offer this technology-rich program for the academic year of 2009-2010.  I have created many online courses for the college in the business area.  By attending and presenting at national conferences and participating in workshops offered at the college, I continue to update my own skills and knowledge in this area.  I believe the brick and mortar walls will soon be obsolete, and the boundaries of academia will be literally out of this world.
