What do you know about Bi-Polar disorder? How common is this disorder? What are the latest treatments?

Individuals with bipolar disorder still live a normal life and function well when completing daily activities. But, for some people with this disease, they experience moments of paranoia and may become dangerous in outbursts.

Do you worry about your safety in a crowd or closed space, such as a classroom when you do not know the likelihood of someone near you having bipolar disorder? Do you feel people diagnosed with this disease are dangerous? Why or why not? What would you do if you were witness to someone that may be bipolar and experiencing an episode?

A company might have knowledge of an employee with bipolar disorder. In fact, after finding this information about an employee, they might fear him or her and worry about a "Postal" episode. An employer that has learned of a recent diagnosis of bipolar disorder might act discriminating against this employee.
